Super Sunday HQ catches up with Mike Ditka and Ron Jaworski at the Cigars with Stars Super Bowl Party on Thursday night. Watch the video to hear from Hall of Fame Coach & Player Mike Ditka and Ron Jaworski about the event and more.
Last night’s Cigars with the Stars Super Bowl Party at the Irish Cowboy in Houston was the ultimate fantasy for football fans who like the finer things. Last night I found myself chatting with Bob Golic about Saved By The Bell: The College Years and both of us wondering why Jimmy Fallon didn’t invite him over for the show’s mini-reunion on The Tonight Show, when former QB Bubby Brister stopped in to say hello. Another gentleman came over and greeted Golic, turned to me and said “Hi, I’m Icky. Icky Woods.” And this was all in the middle of the party. Guys like Chris Berman, Dan Marino, Ray Lewis, Ron Rivera, Jameis Winston, Jim McMahon, Jim Gray, Leigh Steinberg. Players from the past and present walked around and mingled with guests throughout the night. Cigar tables, Scotch tables from Crown Royal and Johnny Walker were popular with guests. Attendees could even pack a care package to the troops. This was one of the best, if not the best, Cigars with the Stars parties of all time. Great venue. Great turnout. And great support for four worthy causes: Pro Football Legends, Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund, Jaws Youth Playbook and the After the Impact Fund. Come back here for photos soon!
