The Valor & Victors 5K Run Super Bowl Party

26 Nov NFL Alumni 5K Run Super Bowl Party

The NFL Alumni Association (NFLA) announced today that it will host The Valor & Victors 5K Run (www.NFLAlumni5K.org) on Saturday January 31, 2015 in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Proceeds from the football-themed run will benefit the Pat Tillman Foundation and the NFLA’s programs for children’s charities.

“We at the NFL Alumni are a family, and Pat Tillman will always be a member of that family,” said Joe Pisarcik, President and CEO of the NFLA. “Pat’s bravery, selflessness and natural leadership qualities are all part of his legacy. We are honored to partner with the Pat Tillman Foundation to support military veterans and spouses who are carrying on Pat’s legacy.”

Participants in the 5K will be able to meet and mingle with NFL Alumni throughout the morning as anticipation for the game starts to build. The event will begin with a pre-race “Tailgate” where participants can get ready for their run with music, snacks and sponsor giveaways.  The 5K will be an out-and-back run along the Arizona Canal Trail; the course will be full of entertainment and NFL alumni to cheer runners along. Following the 5K, the post-race tailgate will feature music, awards and Super Bowl celebrations.

In partnership with the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee (AZSBHC), the NFL Alumni Valor & Victors 5K is part of the Arizona Super Bowl Run Series.  Runners who participate in the Super Bowl Host Committee’s 4.9K Fun Run on Saturday December 13, 2014 at Rawhide Western Town & Steakhouse (5700 W North Loop Rd, Chandler, AZ 85226) will receive a $5 discount to the NFL Alumni Valor & Victors 5K on Jan 31, 2015.  Runners who participate in both events will receive a custom Arizona Super Bowl Run Series medal.

The NFL Alumni Valor & Victors 5K is generously supported by City of Scottsdale, Juvent Sports and the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee.
